BITZ Kusintha Vase 13 cm Green
Kusintha is a support project that was started in 2018 by Christian Bitz and Lisette Rützou. The project aims to donate DKK 1 million over a five-year period through the sale of Kusintha products.
Kusintha means change in Chichewa, a language spoken in Malawi, and the aim is to bring about change in some of the world’s poorest countries, including through vital projects such as the establishment of local wells with clean drinking water, kindergartens and opportunities for schooling. Having a shorter distance to the well frees up time, allowing women greater opportunities to work and giving children better opportunities to attend school. Work is in full swing in Malawi and a number of initiatives are on the way in Zimbabwe.
The Kusintha collection consists of products crafted from traditional glass as well as recycled glass in beautiful colours that match BITZ stoneware, and part of the amount of each sale is donated to the Kusintha project.
Water is vital and it is important to ensure sufficient water intake to meet the body’s need for fluids. In Scandinavia, we are fortunate to have some of the cleanest drinking water in the world, which is also both cheap and climate-friendly when it comes to bottled water. There are only good arguments for drinking more tap water. -
